News
PKRA Speed
This year in Luderitz will be a PKRA Speed event and the first to use GPS units as the primary timing devices. We are excited about this initiative and feel that GPS units are the way forward for most competitions. Furthermore, GPS devices open up more venues for Speed, so hopefully the future of Speed sailing will improve.
We are planning on taking the 5 best 10 second averages from the month of racing to provide a PKRA Speed winner. More details will follow shortly.
You will be required to purchase 2 x GT-31 units, 2 x SD cards and an Aquapac and we are excited to announce that we have secured a few units at a great price, so contact rob@windfreak.com for more information.
GPS-Kitesurfing.com and GP3S
We are awaiting the final draft from the GPS-Speedsurfing crew which will allow us all to not only chase the records for National and International WSSRC Speed Sailing records, but GPS records too! More information is to follow!
Luderitz Speed Site
We are currently about to start testing the strip with the onslaught of strong winds and hope to improve the track further, so keep you eyes and ears open for some pretty interesting speeds.
We all look forward to seeing you in Luderitz and hope that this year brings more records, more riding and more wind!
